| Hobbies and interests: | Dietrich A. Adetayo With great faith, love and courage and a brief illness Dietrich A. Adetayo age 31, was born February 6, 1978 to Kehinde and Virginia "Val" Adetayo, and answered the Savior's call Sunday afternoon June 28, 2009 at his home on Bluff City Hwy. Bristol, TN. Dietrich was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Juliana Adegdite Adetayo and Julius Adeniji Adetayo; maternal- grandfather Mr. Oadis White, Jr.; step-grandfather, Mr. Frank M. Broady, and great-grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Washington Sanders. He was a 1996 graduate of Tennessee High School where he passionately played the saxophone and drums in the "Mighty Viking Band". He attended East Tennessee State University and played in the E.T.S.U. Band. He was a member of the Volunteer Drum Corp of Knoxville, TN, traveling extensively with the Volunteer Drum Corp. Dietrich made time to take karate and Bible Study at Dave's Karate School with Dave Collins in Blountville, TN. Dietrich taught private drum lesson, and after graduation worked with the drum line at Tennessee High School. Later Dietrich joined the Jacob Creek Job Corp where he enrolled and completed the Optical trade. He was employed by Lens Crafters at the Bristol Mall, and afterwards, he was employed by the Jacob Creek Job Corp teaching the Optical trade. He was loved and highly respected there by the staff and students. Dietrich accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Harris-Anderson A.M.E. Zion Church in Bristol, VA. He was also a member of Universal Lodge No. 239- MWPHGL, Free and Accepted Masons of TN. He was a member of the Echo Company Airsoft Team Sports Activity, playing in locations in East TN, VA, Nashville and GA. He recently accepted the position of 1st. Sgt. with the Caps Christian Youth Airsoft Team, owner and director, David Ramos. Their motto is "There is always a Better Way!" He leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Mrs. Virginia "Val" Kane; father, Kehinde Adetayo ; step-father, James P. Kane; grandmother, Mrs. Hattye B. Broady; aunts, Cookie (Joe) Perry, McDonough, GA, Comfort Owoeje, Beltsville, MD, and Carrie Sue White, Gallatin TN; uncles, Oadis W. White III, Wuale Adetayo, Lagos Nigeria,; great aunt, Josie Sanders (Lewis); great uncles, Jake Sanders (Norma), and Joe Sanders (LaVerne); special cousins, Jessica Perry, Jordan Perry, Santana White and Troy Graham (Tonda); and dedicated friends Joey Hale, Steve Arnold, Rick Case, Craig Phillips, Josh Parsons, Josh Broyles, Ryan Horn, Jason Garner, Ron Case and Stephen Semones; and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral Service for Mr. Dietrich A. Adetayo will be conducted on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 12 Noon at Harris Anderson A.M.E. Zion Church with Pastor Pamela Hoard officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. till the hour of service. The Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. |
